Flower meadow.
This compact 0.18-acre garden was designed around its most remarkable feature — the view. From the back porch, the land opens into endless fields of grain stretching all the way to the horizon. Our goal was to keep this view untouched and let the landscape feel wide and free.
The plantings echo the surroundings: a mix of wild-looking grasses and flowers that feel as if they simply grew here on their own. Within this natural look, we created a subtle system of paths and small spaces. As you walk along the flower borders, the garden gently leads you to a cozy seating area with a small table and chairs.
There’s a fire-pit corner for cool evenings, a shaded spot near the porch, and a tiny fruit orchard. For herbs and greens, we added a compact kitchen garden in weathered Corten-steel containers — practical, modern, and beautiful in southern light.
This garden may be small, but it offers both serenity and a sense of spaciousness, celebrating the open landscape beyond the fence.
